The fact is, behaviour is a much better indicator of risk than demographics and, working with some of the leading marine and motor insurers utilising our software Quest, we are proving this to be true.


Quest is a beautifully designed and intuitive web app built upon cutting edge technical architecture. It pulls together multiple sources of industry data, combines that with an insurer’s own data and uses big data analytics, developed by our in-house team, to derive new behavioural insights for our customers.


With backing from insurance and deep tech investors, co-founders with previous start up experience, and a clever and passionate team based in London and Delhi, we’re looking for exceptional people excited by our vision to help us make it happen.


The Role


We are currently seeking an Account Executive with European languages skills to join our rapidly expanding London based team.


Concirrus grew tenfold last year and we expect significant scale and international expansion through 2020. In this role you will be at the vanguard of our rapidly scaling go-to-market machine. You will be responsible for developing new business in the London and International Specialty Insurance markets, working closely with prospect accounts to develop and sell transformational solutions to their business. You will be working at the forefront of industry change, applying cutting edge technologies such as AI and Machine Learning to industry and customer challenges.


You will be a practiced technology or SaaS sales professional, developing and managing large transformational deals with world leading companies.


You will be versatile, running a varied and diverse pipeline of opportunity in new accounts. As well as selling direct, you will collaborate with other solutions and partners to drive new business. You will be the face of our business in our customers, selling our rapidly developing product suite and managing some of our key strategic relationships.


Major Responsibilities


  • Achieving targets by selling Quest platforms, directly or via partners to Insurers, Brokers, and Reinsurers.
  • Retaining and developing strategic partnerships with existing and new clients.
  • Contributing to and developing value propositions for core and partner offerings.
  • Working closely with the development team, feeding back critical design elements and proposed new features and services for our design and build program based on customer comments and requirements.
  • Preparing bids / quotes for products and services, as well as managing entire client lifecycle.
  • Contributing to a robust Sales & Marketing strategy for both current and new products / services.
  • Liaising with the wider company team to ensure the project management phase of the sale is successfully completed.
  • Monthly sales forecasting and business planning for board and management meetings.


Key Attributes



  • 5+ years of experience selling technology, ideally to (re)insurance or financial services.
  • Strategic or consultative selling expertise, and relationship management experience.
  • Ability to run entire sales process, including commercial structuring and negotiation.
  • Proficient in professional selling techniques and methodologies such as Miller Heiman; Consultative Selling; Challenger Sales.
  • Comfort with internal financials, including forecasting and budget planning.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and additional European languages.
  • A strong academic background.


Nice to have:

  • Experience selling complex analytics or modelling tools.
  • Knowledge of the (re)insurance markets and/or the Maritime, Cargo, Aviation or Supply Chain industries.
  • Market experience or qualifications.
  • A proven track record in a mix of hunter/farmer roles.
  • Examples of entrepreneurship or innovation.
  • Knowledge of big data and AI technologies.
